The curse of coalition politics - India is going to be an orphan for five more long years

Voters have been defeated continuously
I am one of those people who always believed, Indian voter is the smartest and have great respect for him for the events he dictated to take place in India-post freedom, starting from out throwing Indira Gandhi from power as a sign of punishment during 1977 to rejecting BJP in 2004 elections for trying to misguide the nation. But the irony is Indian politicians are smarter than voters and they are more powerful, few are coward too. Take a look at for example voters never voted for Deve Gowda to be the prime minister so is Chandrasekhar and IK Gujral, these were  purely orchestrated by Indian politicians through which  they tried to make PM less powerful or instate puppy if I can say that.
So Indian voter and politician trying outsmart each other, one with the honesty and urge towards nation’s progress and the later for his own good sake to make money sufficient for fewer generations of his family paved path for coalition governments. Loyalties of voters changed dynamically and so are the priorities of politicians .But I strongly feel that the root cause for coalition governments in India are in the freedom struggle during 1945 to 47, where Indians needed one strong united voice – so most of the people with difference ideologies came under one umbrella called Indian National Congress   by which killed the an alternative for Indians. I would like to call this as an unwanted “side effect” of a great medicine.INC won successive elections under Nehru ji’s leadership leveraging the sacrifices made during freedom struggle, common man never was is need for strong opposition neither for another leader, sudden demise of Nehru opened a vacuum which was never filed at least the true spirit of him for the nation. Have a look at the below data it tells everything about Indian politics over half a century.

1951 to 1977 – for 26 years, there was no strong opposition for congress, had Indira not announced emergency I don’t think any party would have grown stronger enough to form a government.
So what is the problem with coalition governments now?
We’ve had unstable governments either they were in minority or in coalition, which caused damage for the whole nation – none of these governments could dare to take decisions which will help this country to progress faster for  example interlinking rivers .The biggest drawback with a coalition government is they become consolidated sum of vested interests. The more allies you have greater the problem is.Now we need a powerful government which can drive us through this difficult period – the whole developed world is experiencing recession for long, we have a killing threat from terrorism, crime rate is increasing, corruption paralyzed entire system. We need a leader who can lead a government with guts more over who can build trust and get more seats for his party in order to provide stable government and take courageous decisions for the bigger cause of the nation.
So who that be – Rahul Ganghi or Narendra Modi?
There are number of discussions already took place on Newspapers, national TV channels on who will make a great prime minister among these two and who has more promising prospects. Well, to me it looks like none of them are going to be prime minister after 2014 elections primary reason being none of them qualifies to be one, of course there were people who became prime ministers before who themselves would not imagined that they would.
Now-  let me deal with why I think none of them will become PM or should not become PM:
Rahul Gandhi :
I was in college, doing my MBA when Rahul Gandhi announced his political entry, I had great hopes on him and it increased as the days goes  – till last couple of years. Now I realized I was impressed by him not because of the promise he shown but he was efficient enough to hide his inability and lack of knowledge. But one thing is for sure I am truly impressed by his nature of not so blatantly exploiting his position and being born to Rajiv Gandhi unlike sons of few chief ministers. But that is not good enough to qualify him for the most powerful role in the country. He has not done anything except talking very superficially about change, corruption. His lack of knowledge about serious problems like electricity, irrigation, unemployment, creating new business opportunities, handling terrorism is extremely evident whenever he spoke about them in the media. He never opened up to prove himself clean on coal gate scam, common wealth – suresh kalmadi episode and most importantly on his brother-in-law’s episode. Should we believe that al these happened without the knowledgeof  his mother and his mother hid these from him. Above all these
1)      Rahul Ganhdi’s political experience is enough to judge that the current government lost its reputation and will not be voted for power this term – why would he be ready to announce himself as captain to the sinking ship, given the bitter experience he had in the Uttarpradesh elections. He may not risk his political career for this term so he would love to remain as the prince with lot of power and without any accountability.
2)      Even if they win, they have people like Mulayam singh Yadav who freshly sacrificed chief minister post to his son, and would not throw away an opportunity to become PM
Naendra Modi :
Successful chief minister of a progressing state, commands great respect in Gujarath and in the industrial, business fraternity including Tatas,Reliance.Has good track as chief minister, has great ideas of creating new business opportunities but will his model of Gujarath work for the whole nation? Why would BJP allies let him do things at the pace he is operating in his state? He has advantages like – no corruption allegations so far, and he can go back to his state if he fails at national level politics. His knowledge and ability to handle problems across country like the Telangana issue or conflict between states over river water is questionable to an extent – because he never seems to have mentioned these on any forum. The other is he being accepted given the reputation of religious fanatic he has. He neither took responsibility nor apologized for what happened in Godhra. Even if we assume Modi or his government never encouraged riots, how you ever entrust such huge responsibility of guiding the nation to a person who could not control situation because of which 2000 people were killed. Above all he has bigger problems
1)      Nitheesh kumar does not like Modi’s reputation at all – they are scared that Modi will drive Muslim voters away from their party. He is ambitious too, he announced his intentions during the big public address recently
2)      LK Advani – the father of BJP’s renaissance – wanted to become prime ministers all his life – if at all they have enough  number to form government why he would he throw way the opportunity to fulfill his dream
3)      Sushma Swaraj,Arun Jaitely, Jaya Lalitha – will have better acceptance from allies – They might not believe Modi given the reputation he built of taking decisions unilaterally.
So we will end up having another weak prime minister who will dance for the tunes of their allies, curse peril whatever you call it is, it is not good for the country. I will be extremely happy if Indian voter and politicians proves me wrong

Once there was a King who ordered “Dinosaurs must be domesticated not killed “The question of how do we deal with brutal criminals?

This is in response to the statements made by few celebrities (like Rahul Bose, Arundhanthi Roy), intellectuals recently on Delhi gang rape and execution of Afzal Guru, I would like to start this  with a story and get in to the issues one by one so that we get to the core of the problem, before that let me warn you – “if you are a person who is not bothered about incidents that takes place far “from where you live” (as you like to believe), please do close this and move on to a topic of your interest. Let me start now

230 million years ago, there was KING who is mighty, clever – he won almost the world and ruling it successfully – he is left with only wish that people should treat him as GOD, he announced himself as GOD so many times but his people were not convinced . So he had been thinking within himself what heroic stunt will make his people believe him as GOD. Luckily for the king, one day a court man of his came running to inform him on a very dangerous problem for the whole world -he said “My king, we are all going to die if we won’t get prepared soon, there is a monster on the rampage, killing hundreds every minute” king was baffled and said I am the mightiest of all on earth, nothing  can destroy  my kingdom, “calm down and tell me” he ordered the court man who explained “My king “ we are attacked by a monster dinosaur, it is on a rampage, destroying everything on its way – currently it is 15 miles away  from here and  can reach here anytime – I am the only one from that place  who survived to carry this message to you, King you are mightiest please save us – we beg you. “Nothing will happen” he assured him and ordered his army chief to get ready with all weapons and announced he will be back after an hour to go on a war against dinosaur.
Well ,while he was going to his home to inform the queen about war, he was struck with great feeling of victory - he thought this is the right chance for him to prove as GOD, that he can kill this dinosaur and prove to his kingdom, but he questioned himself later “Will my people start treating me as “GOD” if I kill this dinosaur – they may not, because “I have done lot bigger things than this before” – so it is not a right idea to kill the dinosaur.

The KING came back to the court and announced “My dear people “as I told you before I am the GOD, and I have not created any species to hurt my own people, this dinosaur might have gone mad, so let us capture it and domesticate it, so that it goes back to his original nature I gave , “Let us go” he ordered his army.

KING and his army successfully captured it, though KING lost few best of his soldiers, nobody dared to ask him if you are the GOD – why do you need to fight to capture it – just order and make it behave, that is the irony. So they captured this dinosaur and put in big cage like park, started feeding it daily. Next day this news reached other dinosaurs ,they laughed at KING’s stupidity and decided that they will intentionally get captured one by one and get into  the park so that they can get food for free without any labor, all the dinosaurs stuck to the plan started attacking kingdom, so for king’s army it became a routine every day to fight dinosaurs capture them and put them in to the park and feed, but gradually king’s army reduced to a few numbers because every time they fought a dinosaur they have lost lives, and food reserves in the kingdom also diminishing, finally there comes day where king does not have any men to fight except himself- he and a bunch of Dinosaurs – so he ran away  in to a  deepest cave to save his life”
Let us end the story there – it is already quite a long, let us get in to the core problem now. First things first – execution of Afzal Guru and the response few intellectuals across in India – that he should not have been killed rather imprisoned for life- because death sentence is very cruel and uncivilized. Now there are few things we need to consider

1)      Argument: Death sentence is archaic, medieval times method and uncivilized well please do not conveniently forget that civilized procedures are for civilized only – and there is difference between human and animal rights – do not get confused, unless you consider Kasab & co and brutal rapists as humans, incase if you do so, please answer me if they are humans “what are we then? – the” KINGS” in the STORY? trying to prove ourselves “intellectuals” if one take down the list of terror activities, bomb blasts and rapes in India for last one decade – you will get hundreds of incidents now need to see how many were punished, how many death sentence have been awarded by the courts and of them how many have been actually implemented, we can count on fingers, it won’t be not even 10 though. We are so far from awarding justice to the affected families and victims – we need to fight to have the justice done to the victims fast and should not be debating on why Afzal Guru should have been pardoned and how you can reform the brutal rapists.

2)      Argument: If they proved to be criminals don’t kill them, give life time imprisonment: Just as the king did underestimate the problem of dinosaurs, our intellectuals are underestimating the problem of terrorism and treating these criminals just like any other. Point here is you are sending a message in to the society with the way you are treating these animals – now we need to take a call whether we would like to send a message like the KING with his hidden agenda in the story OR we act sternly. When you see snake you will kill it – 99 times out of 100 times you do that – at least you will try to kill it – and we know why – because we know it is our death, now as we not affected any terrorist activity, as of now our kids safe – we preach about peace- when the same problem touch our life our heart starts burning, we cry our heart out. Please allow your soul to work for a minute – you won’t be able to eat – you are killing the soul every minute in pursuit of being called intellectuals.

3)      Argument: We are world's biggest democracy, we stand for peace: the crucial point is “at what cost you would like to be a civilized society” – like in the story the king chose to “capture the dinosaur and domesticate it “wiser one would probably choose less dangerous event to prove your so called “unflinching will for peace” and India being a fair state which gives fair opportunity to even most cruel criminals. just try to have look a the incidents took place from 2001 to now while we had the parliament attacks culprits in the jail enjoying the hosting of indian Governament, their men continued killing hundreds, to whom are you trying to preach peace, they do not understand your language – the only language they understand is “KILLING”. it is easy to make them understand just by doing the same when they are caught. For thirteen we wasted time, now by killing him we made him Martyr.

“Look at the history of India, one became GOD after killing an evil being ” Lord Rama to Sri Krishna. Killing brutal criminals is not a sin, but not killing them is one and it more uncivilized than killing them. Cutting the overgrown part of your body(Let us say nails) is not hurting your body but protecting it.  One who kills “innocent” deserves to be killed with in law but quickly – see my next post - my take on  fast tracking this.

Rahul Bhai, Arundhati Didi-  I know you are thinkers, shift your focus to another happening thing – do not make yourself funny – the entire media says you guys are great and  intellectuals ,why are you trying to do circus still.

Flowers smell blood

God, that mother is still awaiting the return of her son went out to get medicine,
that toddler still waiting for his father who promised him a chocolate,
Please can somebody tell that young lady, she does not have to wait for her husband and she is widow from now,
please can someone dare to carry the news to this vegetable vendor's family,
oh! How can anybody tell this priest that god was too busy and could not listen to his prayers?
Who destroyed the dreams of this young couple …..
these bunch flowers has no fragrance, they smell blood,
look at this boy ..looks like had a sleepless night in the anxiety of exams, he does not have to worry about them anymore,
Chaiwala you don’t have to wake up 4 AM any longer,
that baby is crying , oh god what can replace the lap of her mother,
oh this innocent guy calling his sister – brother you won’t be able to talk to her in your life time again
I have no fear – how can anybody kill who is already dead

This nation runs after a false dream all the time - "ANNA" is the one for now

Not a great title to use ..especially at this time, in 60 mins from now it will be Aug 15th , The independence day. My intention is not to demean the nation which had lightened a new wave of hopes in the third world countries. I have no intention to insult the great man ANNA  HAZARE at all, after all i am not a congress man .

I am writing this  out of surprise that over last one year a sensation is created by the media as if this movement run by few folks are going to change the  face of nation..... as if it is earth breaking. After all this fiction like a TV reality show... what has this nation achieved, i am sorry i am not ready to  believe if anyone says at least it created awareness about corruption OR it reinforced the necessity of  curbing corruption. It did not achieve anything except providing platform to politically ambitious folks like Arvind Kezriwal. TWEETS ,communities in FACEBOOK, Discussions in national news channels have all earned the time of many young hard working guys , that is the biggest success so far and maybe  we are going to have a new political party.

Have a look the independent India's history, from "GARBHI HATAO" to  "INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION" this whole nation ran after a dream, never did it achieve that dream nor demonstrated an unflinching  determination to pursue it further. Emotions erupted ,people voted and defeated subsequently, poverty and corruption grown exponentially.

I strongly feel that we should ask anyone one them who witnessed JP's SAMPOORNA KRANTI movement , it will be interesting to ask them how did  it feel like then and what they a think  today, i am sure my father's generation was mad at him and the  movement by having sacrificed their studies , family life and assets for a great cause. After doing so much all it produced is a new government which fallen so quickly and a new set of leaders who promised equal society  later turned out to be most corrupted like LALU.

Lokpal/Janlokpal is the not the next immediate thing we need to focus on, if anyone says it is you are kidding me , we have enough of them but the  problem is we don't have the mechanism to implement them. We do not have the courage to send somebody behind  the bars  and ensure he is there in that place  he deserves by 1000% for life time. When this happens all you will end up doing is reinventing the wheel, get a new uniform for the same people call that department something else end up achieving a big nothing.

Somebody who has the  power in his hands and knows the fact that he can get away with all the wrongs things and get reelected will definitely continue to make money out of every small thing and save it in Swiss bank. The irony is while Anna is on fast most corrupted politician in Andhrapradesh were reelected to the state assembly in the by polls because they know that they can buy a vote with 250 ml liquor OR/500 rs note. Indians simply lack the courage to live honestly or they are forced that they don’t have choice but sell themselves/buy someone. From the sociological aspect it is very complex - after so many centuries india is now seeing a huge amount of money flowing everybody is in a hurry to make as much money as possible ," if I miss i will not  be able to make never", the vicious but obvious child of globalization. From the other angle it is a rat race let us take a simple example  you are in a deep summer not getting  enough water for your domestic use you have no choice but pay few more extra and get the water. You have no idea on how you can get h no the land you own registered broker knows it , you pay him and have the land. We are forced we are left with no choice, where there is no choice there is scope for corruption simple economics.

We need choice , we need awareness we definitely need the courage to live honestly. We should have the choice reject all of them in the elections  if think none of them meets the criteria to do so we need the  knowledge. With only 17 % of your community reaching universities for higher education you cant dream a corruption free society. You cant be champions with weak muscle and ill body. Let us build this country step by step. Now let us stop running behind false dreams.

I am sure by 7:00 AM today  all the new channels  will start running a program to discuss on  which name will be more suitable for the new political party

Happy Independence Day!

Stand at ease :-)
